Abstract

Di masa kini dimana teknologi semakin maju virtual bukanlah hal yang baru. Begitu banyak teknologi yang mendukukung kegiatan virtual salah satunya adalah Gather Town yang menghadirkan pengalaman baru dalam konferensi menjadi lebih real membawa kita kedalam metaverse. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan sistem terbarukan yang lebih nyata dalam menghadapai kondisi seperti sekarang ini. Dibandingkan dengan aplikasi virtual lainnya yang hanya menyediakan suara dan video, Gather Town memberikan lebih dengan menghadirkan karakter kita di dalam kelas. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian berjenis kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil respon dari mahasiswa menunjukan bahwa Gather Town sangat menarik dan dapat mengubah karakter sesuai keinginannya dan dampak positifnya guru dapat mengetahui pasti mana siswa yang mengikuti kelas dan mana yang tidak. Tidak hanya sampai disitu ruang kelas juga diatata senyata mungkin, yang digunakan saaat belajar maka siswa bergerak ke meja mereka masing masing dan guru berada di depan  kelas. Gather town selain tampilannya yang menarik juga dapat menjadi alternatif kelas virtual.
